Optional Roof Panels – Standing Seam
A standing seam metal roof system is one of the most durable and weathertight roof systems available to the industry. Searcy Buildings Systems offers a wide variety of standing seam panels. These panels are a great choice for residential, commercial and industrial building applications. So, when your design requires a metal roofing system that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound, ask your SBS building expert to help find the perfect standing seam panel for your project.
TS-324 (Trapezoidal System)
The TS-324 (Trapezoidal System) standing seam panel uses breakthrough technology that addresses the most current wind uplift requirements. This patented design is the reason why this metal roof is the best in its class for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency – it is one of our most commonly utilized standing seam panels. Designed to last, its innovative clips add stability while allowing for thermal expansion and contraction along with a patented seaming system that is designed to handle even the most stringent uplift requirements.
VS-216 (Vertical System)
The VS-216 (Vertical System) standing seam panel is one of our most commonly requested architectural standing seam panels. Utilizing the same patented technology as the TS-324, it provides superior wind and weather protection under all roof loading conditions. The seam geometry and seaming methods virtually assure that your installed roof will perform as it was designed at minimum cost.
BattenLok®
BattenLok® is a mechanically field-seamed, high strength structural standing seam roof system. The BattenLok® HS panels have a 2″ tall vertical seam and are available in both 12-inch and 16-inch widths. BattenLok® HS can be installed directly over purlins or bar joists and is capable of transitioning from roof to fascia. BattenLok® HS does not require a solid substructure for support.
SuperLok®
SuperLok® – is a mechanically field-seamed, vertical leg standing seam roof system that combines a 2″ tall slim rib with exceptional uplift resistance. It is available in both 12-inch and 16-inch widths. SuperLok® has been designed to withstand the most rigorous weather conditions. SuperLok® can be installed directly over purlins or bar joists. SuperLok® does not require a solid substructure for support.
Double-Lok®
Double-Lok® is a mechanically field-seamed, trapezoidal leg standing seam roof system. Double-Lok® panels are available in 12-inch, 18-inch and 24-inch widths. Double-Lok® requires a minimum slope of ¼:12. Double-Lok® panels are ideal for industrial, commercial and architectural applications.
Ultra-Dek®
Ultra-Dek® is a snap-together, trapezoidal leg standing seam roof system. Ultra-Dek® panels are available in 12-inch, 18-inch and 24-inch widths. Ultra-Dek® requires a minimum slope of ¼:12 and is ideal for industrial, commercial and architectural applications. Ultra-Dek® can be erected on various types of construction.
Optional Wall Panels
Reverse R-Panel
The Reverse R-Panel is a reverse-rolled version of our popular PBR panel profile. It is a semi-concealed fastener panel that is 36” wide with inverted major ribs at 12” centers and two inverted minor ribs between major ribs. The resulting decorative shadow line allows your attention to focus on the beauty of the wall. The rigid surface helps compress thicker insulation without unsightly bulges at the girt as well as provides a greater surface area in the event you want to brick directly over the wall panel.
Architectural (A-panel)
Architectural (A-panel) panels can be used for wall applications. Aside from its aesthetically pleasing nature, the inverted ribs of the PBA panel provide additional space for heavier insulation thicknesses and allows for a more inconspicuous location for the exposed fasteners than the PBR panel.
7.2 paneL
The 7.2 panel is one of the most versatile and economical products for commercial, industrial, and architectural applications. With a strong industrial aesthetic and its sturdy symmetrical rib, the 7.2 Panel offers excellent spanning and cantilever capabilities, and can be installed vertically or horizontally.
PBU panel
The PBU panel is an exposed fastener system that can be used for roof, wall and liner panel applications and can be installed directly over purlins or joists. PBU offers the versatility of being used in both vertical and horizontal applications to give designers a contemporary appearance for their building project. PBU is recommended for 1:12 or greater roof slopes.
Optional Specialty Panels
Searcy Building Systems offers a wide variety of specialty panels. Please ask your building consultant if you are interested in any of the following panel types: concealed fastener panels, insulated metal panels, artisan soffit panels, or textured panels.
Optional Structural Features
There are several structural design features that can add some visual interest as well as functionality to your building.
Overhangs, canopies, facades/mansards, parapet walls and wainscoting are five of the most commonly utilized ways in which to tailor your metal building to fit your vision. Ask your Searcy Building Systems building consultant which of these would work best for your needs.
Overhang
The most commonly utilized structural feature is an overhang. Overhangs are used to create a more residential or customized look, they can be added to the eave sides (sidewalls), rake ends (endwalls), or around the total perimeter. They are typically 12”, 18” or 36” in depth, but can be up to 10’ out. They can also be designed with or without metal soffit panels to cover the underside. Overhangs are great for directing water out and away from the building as well as providing shade.
Canopies
Similar to overhangs are canopies, otherwise known as rake or eave extensions. They can be added to any wall, and can be designed as continuous roof canopies or below eave canopies. Canopies can measure 2’ to 10’ out, and can be designed with or without soffit. Canopies are a great source of shelter and shade for vehicles, farm equipment, and are often used as covered porches.
Facades/Mansards
Facades or Mansards are typically used for retail buildings. They provide a superb area for signage and also shelter entry points and loading areas from rain or sun. Mansards can project out up to 6’ and project up between 2’ and 6’ tall.
Parapet Walls
Parapet walls differ from façades/mansards in that they have no projection. Parapet walls can be added to one or more walls. Parapet walls are wall panels below the roof line that extend above the roof line to a given elevation. Typically, they are added at the high eave and both endwalls of a single-slope building to hide the roof slope.
Wainscotting
Wainscot is a great way to customize the look of your building. It is characterized by color change in the wall sheets at a certain elevation above finished floor. It is typically used for more decorative purposes. On buildings with taller walls this color change helps to break up a large monotone area making it more visually appealing.
