Our Story
Searcy Building Systems has its roots in Allen Searcy Builder-Contractor, which Allen Searcy began in 1969 under the name Union City Lumber. Joined by his son David in 1983 and Brian in 2002, ASBC became a very well-respected company for full construction and general contracting services in the southeast.
Recognizing that not all projects require general contracting services, Union City native Ally Hooks, a 20-year veteran metal building sales professional joined the Searcy’s to form Searcy Building Systems. SBS is a company that provides the highest-quality prefabricated steel buildings and metal building components with an option to facilitate the labor to erect through a network of independent, insured steel building erectors.
Searcy Building Systems allows you the ability to manage your own project – cutting out the middleman and saving money. With 17 plants located strategically across the United States, SBS offers the most competitive building prices and convenient delivery times available.

Our Team
Ally Hooks
Managing Partner and Director of Operations
Ally brings two decades of practical knowledge and pre-engineered metal buildings experience to Searcy Building Systems. From Operations and Marketing, to Engineering and Detailing, to Supply Chain and Scheduling, to Customer Service and Installation, Ally has always strived to learn all aspects of the business. This has allowed her to better educate her team and her customers throughout the purchase and construction process.
A self-proclaimed metal-building nerd, Ally loves working with people, including her like-minded sales and customer service professionals and her customers. She is proud to know that by the time her customers decide, purchase, and complete their Searcy Building Systems building, they are essentially a part of the SBS family. When she is not hard at work, Ally enjoys playing golf, traveling, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and Kentucky Wildcats with her husband Carter, daughter Addison and two dogs Lucy and Georgia.
Allen Searcy
Partner
Allen G. Searcy is the father and original owner of Allen Searcy Building-Contractor, Inc. Currently serving as Vice President of ASBC, he is also the General Partner of Searcy Family Limited Partners and President of Latimer and Searcy Investments LLC. Allen has built a family legacy through Allen Searcy Building-Contractor, Inc., which began in January of 1969 and is going strong today.
David Searcy

David A. Searcy began working at ASBC with his father as early as seventh grade, learning all he could during the summers. David joined the company full-time in 1982, while studying at the University of Tennessee at Martin. In his years at ASBC, he has worked in all aspects of the business, including estimating, project management, business development, and the day to day responsibilities of the company. Today, as the company’s President, David is committed to forging the future with a motivated team, a straightforward yet flexible approach, and a genuine commitment to collaboration and transparency in client relationships and preserving the ASBC legacy. David is married to Susan and has three children, Katy, Luke, and Dawson.
Brian Searcy
Partner
An experienced project manager, Brian Searcy is a great leader, excels in customer relations, and has excellent communication skills. In his years at ASBC, Brian has developed an eye for quality craftsmanship and knows how to ensure the team is focused on the goals. As project manager, Brian is responsible for communicating with the architect, owner, and subcontractors as well as problem solving and decision making. He leverages his years of experience to coordinate the best subcontractors and to keep the project on budget and on schedule. A UTM graduate, Brian has three children, Emily, Gannon, and Hayden. When he is not working hard on a project at ASBC, you can find him cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals or the Tennessee Titans.
